Country Glen Sun Devils
The Sun Devils are the Swim & Dive Team of the Country Glen Swim and Tennis Club in Potomac, MD. The Sun Devils compete in two summer swim leagues, the Montgomery County Swim League (Division A) and the Potomac Area Swim League. As well, the Sun Devils dive in Division II of the Montgomery County Dive League.
The Sun Devils are about more than just competition - the team is very focused on introducing new swimmers to the sport, providing a fun environment, and building friendships that go beyond the pool deck.

Our goal is to provide a positive summer experience for our team members and their families. The team is meant to develop swimming proficiency, foster good sportsmanship and teamwork, create a good competitive spirit and have FUN.
Montgomery County Swim League
The Country Glen Swim Team is a member of the Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL). The MCSL was established in 1959 to provide organized, friendly swim team competition for children at the neighborhood pool level. The League operates from Memorial Day to the end of July. The goals of the program include helping young people establish a love for the sport of swimming, advanced aquatic skills, teamwork, and the principles of good sportsmanship.
The league consists of 90 different teams distributed into 15 different divisions of six teams each, ranked A – O. Division placement is determined by a computerized swim-off using times from the previous summer, the most successful team being placed at the top of “A” division.
The MCSL regular season competition includes five dual (“A”) meets which are contested on Saturday mornings, as well as two division-wide meets: the Division Championship Meet (Divisionals) and the Division Relay Meet (Relay Carnival).
MCSL has a well-defined set of rules and operating procedures which are outlined in the MCSL Handbook, which is available at the league’s website www.mcsl.org; this includes meet results, driving directions to pools, all-star rankings and much more.
